In a tense political standoff in West Bengal, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has alleged that a party worker was intimidated at her home in South Kolkata by TMC supporters. He is calling for swift intervention from the Election Commission of India.
Adhikari claims that the party worker, Bina Das, was harassed on Wednesday evening by TMC affiliates for her political activities in support of the BJP. He criticizes the incident as a threat to the opposition and an act of intimidation against women striving to challenge a corrupt ruling regime.
Highlighting a nearly 93 percent voter turnout in the first election phase, Adhikari perceives this aggressive response as evidence of the ruling party's fear of an impending electoral defeat. He has filed a police complaint and pressed for immediate action, declaring that silence from authorities will not deter the call for change.
