Modi Predicts 'Wave of Change' in West Bengal as BJP Targets TMC's Hold

Prime Minister Narendra Modi intensified the BJP's call for regime change in West Bengal on Friday. While addressing a rally in Panihati, he claimed that the first phase of polling demonstrated a definitive shift towards the BJP, challenging the TMC's 'dictatorial' rule.

Ninety-two percent of voters participated in the first phase, which Modi heralded as proof of the state's tide toward change and away from years of what he termed 'maha jungle raj' under the TMC. He underscored the election as a battle for democracy, saying the people of Bengal have begun rebuilding it through their votes.

Modi criticized the TMC for its alleged oppression and emphasized a need for an ideological revolution inspired by historical figures like Subhas Chandra Bose. He promised liberation from fear, corruption, and economic stagnation, while also committing to women's empowerment and industrial revival under a potential BJP administration.
