Tamil Nadu's political scene witnessed a compelling statement from Tamilisai Soundararajan, a former governor and BJP candidate, on Thursday. She emphasized the importance of women's voices being heard loudly in the state's legislative assembly.
Soundararajan refuted the narrative suggested by the DMK that the election was a contest between the forces of Tamil Nadu and Delhi. Instead, she framed it as a battle between the DMK and the women of Tamil Nadu, highlighting the issue of women's safety under the current government.
Contesting from the Mylapore Assembly constituency, where the incumbent Chief Minister M K Stalin is also a voter, Soundararajan expressed confidence in the electorate's support for the NDA. She insisted that a victory in the assembly polls symbolizes the amplification of women's voices in governance.
