In a significant leadership transition, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has been appointed as the new president of the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), according to an official statement released by the party on Wednesday.
This change comes as the previous party president, Lalliansawta, has taken an indefinite leave of absence due to health concerns.
ZPM, which rose to power in the Mizoram elections of December 2023, has clarified that the leadership change is aimed at ensuring the party's continued stability and progress.
