Mizoram's political landscape is turbulent as the Mizo National Front (MNF) accuses the state government of lacking the resolve to pursue a CBI investigation into an alleged Rs 187.90 crore land scam.
MNF's vice-chairman Lalpianfela Chawngthu criticized the Zoram People's Movement-led government for doing little beyond issuing a superficial notification of consent for an investigation. He argues that without a formal request to the CBI, the action remains hollow.
In their continued efforts to hold the government accountable, MNF representatives faced bureaucratic hurdles, with key documents still unreleased. Opposition parties, pointing to suspicious financial activities, demand immediate action.
