India and Norway are taking proactive measures to navigate trade barriers that have surfaced since the implementation of their free trade agreement last October. The bilateral discussions emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles such as sanitary and phytosanitary stipulations, product registration protocols, and origin certification challenges.
The third session of the India–Norway Dialogue on Trade and Investment focused on finding mutually agreeable mechanisms to ensure these impediments do not hinder the full potential of the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). Efforts are being intensified to diversify trade and foster mutually beneficial business initiatives between the two nations.
Additionally, in a bid to enhance logistics efficiency in Maharashtra, NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL) and the state have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement aims to digitize the state's logistics landscape, leveraging the Unified Logistics Interface Platform to facilitate better coordination and informed decision-making with real-time data insights.
