The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department has successfully conducted a large-scale drug bust, seizing more than 10 kg of methamphetamine and detaining four suspects, including a Myanmar national. This operation took place near Folkland Park in Aizawl following a tip-off.

The raid uncovered 10.02 kg of methamphetamine, equating to one lakh tablets, said Spokesperson Peter Zohmingthanga. Known as a 'crazy drug,' methamphetamine is a potent illegal substance in India that poses severe addiction risks.

Among those arrested were two individuals from Assam's Karimganj and a Myanmar national. They have been charged under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985, and appeared in court on Thursday. The department has seized various narcotics, including heroin and ganja, since January, intensifying its battle against drug trafficking.
