From April 17 to 24, the 37th Guangdong Fashion Week unfolded at Wanbo, Guangzhou, captivating audiences with its art-filled presentations. One Heung Kong Fashion Art Haute Couture Show emerged as a standout, with world-class exhibitions offering a mesmerizing journey into fashion aesthetics.
Among the highlights, three prominent Chinese designers delivered remarkable shows that merged intangible cultural heritage (ICH) craftsmanship with contemporary fashion. Their work brought traditional Oriental aesthetics into the modern era, earning widespread applause.
Li Xiaoyan's collaboration with Tangxian Xiangyunsha featured 'Seeds – Born for Beauty', a collection centered on Xiangyunsha fabric, blending classic craft with modernity. Yan Fangni's 'A Letter from Intangible Cultural Heritage to Spring' and Zhao Yakun's Chaozhou embroidery-infused couture also impressed. The event affirmed Chinese fashion's cultural prowess and innovative design capabilities as it transitioned towards a year-long landmark for fashion and art integration.
