Tesla Accelerates India's EV Future with Expansive Charging Network

Tesla is set to transform the Indian electric vehicle (EV) landscape, announcing plans to significantly extend its charging network across the country. On Friday, the American carmaker confirmed its strategy as part of its ongoing expansion efforts in the burgeoning market.

Tesla India's General Manager Sharad Agarwal revealed the company is incorporating superchargers and destination chargers into key urban centers, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. These efforts aim to alleviate customer range anxiety, a common concern within the EV sector. With the recent launch of the three-row SUV Model YL, Tesla is poised to offer an unparalleled ownership experience to its Indian customers, Agarwal noted.

The corporation has already established a notable presence with multiple charging stations in India. Worldwide, Tesla boasts over 8,100 stations featuring upwards of 80,000 superchargers, underscoring its commitment to robust infrastructure. Besides retail locations in major cities, Tesla is also expanding its service footprint across India, further demonstrating its commitment to providing a comprehensive support network.
