In a scathing criticism, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of undermining the democratic fabric of India by abusing government machinery and central agencies to intimidate political opponents.
Speaking at a press conference alongside AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal, Kharge questioned the BJP's alliance with AIADMK, a party founded on Dravidian ideologies, and labeled the Prime Minister as 'terrorising' rather than 'terrorist' in a literal sense.
He further alleged that the Election Commission is compromised under Modi's influence, citing manipulation of voter lists as evidence. Kharge called for genuine action on the Women's Reservation Bill and criticized the government's legislative strategy, warning that its plans for delimitation would disproportionately harm progressive states.
