The AIADMK, under the leadership of general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, on Tuesday unveiled ten additional welfare measures in its manifesto for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. This announcement raises the total number of promises to 307, up from 297.

With the state set to hit the polls on April 23, followed by counting on May 4, the party aims to address various societal needs. Among the key initiatives, the AIADMK proposes setting up 24/7 monitoring 'war rooms' in all district headquarters to combat crimes against women. Additionally, they plan to provide a Rs 10,000 subsidy for 10 lakh unemployed youth to purchase two-wheelers and reduce government TV cable charges by 50%.

The manifesto also promises to introduce measures such as a minimum support price for mango farmers and a single-window system for MSME licensing. Further, it includes incentives like free cashew shelling machines for women in small-scale cashew cultivation and financial aid for families of workers fatally injured in work-related accidents. A government directive will also ensure the celebrated Adhukattu festival, including jallikattu, continues in Krishnagiri.
