Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi has expressed strong concern regarding the alleged gang rape of a young girl in Tamil Nadu. She urged the National Commission for Women (NCW) to take immediate action against the perpetrators.
In her post on platform X, Devi emphasized the need for swift justice and reiterated that the safety and dignity of women in India is of utmost priority. She assured full support to the survivor and her family.
Former Tamil Nadu BJP president, K Annamalai, also highlighted law and order concerns under the current state government, urging for arrests and harsh penalties for the accused while demanding support and counselling for the affected family.
