Massive Cannabis Bust on National Highway-19

In a significant drug bust, police apprehended three alleged traffickers and confiscated cannabis valued at Rs 52 lakh from a truck, authorities reported on Tuesday. The operation, conducted by a joint team of the Special Operations Group and local police, took place on National Highway-19.
Additional Superintendent of Police Shubham Agrawal indicated that during vehicle checks under Gopiganj police station, law enforcement officers discovered 103 kg of cannabis packed in six sacks concealed in the vehicle.
The suspects, Harvinder Singh Yadav, Mohit Parashar, and Nilesh Lodhi, allegedly acquired the cannabis from Odisha before distributing it across various districts in Uttar Pradesh. A legal case is proceeding against them, according to police statements.
