Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu criticized the current governance in Tamil Nadu under the DMK, alleging a deterioration in law and order. In a press conference, he highlighted issues such as the stagnant infrastructure and rising crime rates, particularly against women, urging Tamil Nadu's electorate to support NDA candidates for improved governance.
Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, proposing that initiatives like the Ganga-Cauvery river linking would only be achievable under his leadership. He emphasized the need for a 'double-engine' government, akin to Andhra Pradesh, to catalyze development in Tamil Nadu, showcasing prior success through significant investments from firms like Google and Arcelor Mittal.
Stressing unity, Naidu called for collaborative efforts between Telugu and Tamil communities. He projected that an NDA-led governance could address pressing issues, including river water disputes, by promoting projects such as the Ganga-Cauvery interlink. He highlighted the Telugu Ganga project's success in facilitating inter-state cooperation, urging voters to prioritize regional progress over political divisions.
