In a bold move against opposition parties, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led a 'Jan Aakrosh Mahila Padyatra' on Tuesday. This event came as a reaction to the Congress and Samajwadi Party's resistance to a constitutional amendment bill aimed at implementing a women's quota in the Parliament.
The march drew thousands of women who traversed from the chief minister's residence to the Vidhan Bhavan. It was not only a demonstration of discontent against opposition parties but also an expression of public support for the pro-women policies advocated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as highlighted by Adityanath during his address.
Adityanath criticized the Congress and SP for opposing women's empowerment. He emphasized the government's efforts, under Modi's leadership, to introduce numerous schemes targeting women's dignity, security, and self-reliance, underlining a commitment to uplift various sections of society, centered around 'Nari Shakti' or women power.
