In a symbolic gesture of cultural unity, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a Sita Ashok sapling at Delhi's Hyderabad House. This initiative, part of 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', underscores the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

The sapling, representing Uttar Pradesh's state tree, will be relocated to Queen Heo Hwang-ok Memorial Park in Ayodhya, a tribute to the timeless connection shared by India and Korea. This relocation is a nod to the legendary Ayodhya princess Suriratna, linking history to present-day cultural relations.

During President Lee's three-day visit to India, which marks the first by a South Korean president in eight years, several MoUs were signed, enhancing cooperation in cultural and creative sectors. The initiative highlights the enduring bonds forged by shared heritage, epitomized by the sapling planting ceremony.
