Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) candidate and state minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi ramped up his election efforts in the Thiruverumbur Assembly constituency on Tuesday. With only a day left before the April 23 polls, he canvassed extensively in the Thuvakudi area, rallying support for the ruling party's 'Rising Sun' symbol.
Joined by party workers and members from the alliance parties, including the Indian National Congress and Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), Poyyamozhi urged residents to support the DMK for continued developmental progress. This campaign reflects the coordinated efforts by the Secular Progressive Alliance.
Simultaneously in Chennai, Chief Minister MK Stalin led a vigorous campaign in Kannagi Nagar. During a morning walk that attracted large crowds, Stalin engaged with locals to secure support while reiterating criticisms against the Centre's proposed delimitation, interpreting it as punitive towards states like Tamil Nadu that have shown progress.
