Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has launched a fresh salvo against the BRS, alleging its attempts to appease the BJP to escape scrutiny over the Kaleshwaram project irregularities. The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, located in Bhupalpally district, is mired in scandal due to supposed financial misdeeds during the previous BRS regime.
Reddy questioned the Centre's inaction, despite the state raising concerns about the project nine months ago. He emphasized the need for immediate repairs and accountability for those found guilty in the alleged wrongdoing. However, despite frequent reminders, the Centre remains silent, igniting suspicions of political shielding.
With political tensions heating up, Reddy hinted at potential agitation if a CBI probe is not initiated soon. This scandal, intensified by the recent elections, has seen BRS leaders accused of covertly courting BJP support, stirring debates over the project's integrity and political maneuvering behind closed doors.
