K Chandrasekhar Rao, chief of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has criticized the current Congress government in Telangana, alleging it has failed to fulfill its electoral promises. Addressing a rally on Monday, Rao confidently asserted that the BRS would return to power in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Rao highlighted that during the previous BRS governance, people were content, contrasting it with the dissatisfaction felt under the current administration. He accused the Congress of promising but failing to deliver, noting a narrow defeat for BRS in the 2023 polls by merely 1.7 percent. He questioned the state's declining financial health, reduced real estate activity, and hardships faced by farmers and weavers.

The BRS leader further claimed financial mismanagement has led to the non-payment of retired employees' dues and auto drivers losing business due to free bus travel for women. He emphasized his administration's achievements in resolving power issues and lamented the halted progress. Significantly, former Congress minister Jeevan Reddy joined BRS, strengthening Rao’s political camp.
