AIADMK general secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami, asserted on Friday that a drug-free Tamil Nadu could be achieved should his party assume power in the forthcoming Assembly elections. Speaking in Sangagiri, he emphasized the urgent need to address escalating drug abuse among students, promising complete eradication of ganja sales.

Palaniswami criticized the current administration for deteriorating law and order, pointing out increased threats to women's safety and the public. "Even a two-year-old is vulnerable to violence and murder," he remarked, advocating for the restoration of the AIADMK government to ensure public security. The police force, meant to protect, is also in jeopardy, with six officers murdered in recent months, he highlighted.

He further alleged that the DMK government, despite promising 525 improvements, has fallen short. The AIADMK aims to revive closed medical clinics and negotiate better terms for NEET examinations. Asserting the election is a battle against familial exploitation, Palaniswami called for an end to the ruling family's dominion over eight crore citizens.
