Udhayanidhi Stalin, the DMK Youth Wing Secretary, has officially entered the race for the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni Assembly seat, as he submitted his nomination papers on Thursday. The announcement comes amid a fervent rally by party supporters.
Speaking after filing his documents, the 48-year-old expressed confidence in continuing the Dravidian governance model in Tamil Nadu. Highlighting past achievements, he praised the transformative initiatives led by his father, M K Stalin.
As the region prepares for the April 23 election, Udhayanidhi's campaign emphasizes resisting central government policies, focusing on local empowerment. Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni remains a contested DMK stronghold, previously represented by party stalwart M Karunanidhi.
