The Congress Party took a significant step forward in its electoral strategy on Wednesday by announcing a complete list of candidates for the West Bengal Assembly polls. The list includes nine new candidates and one replacement.
Prominent among them is Prem Chowdhury, who replaced Sanjay Sarkar in the Gazole constituency. Adding a twist to the political narrative, Quazi Abdur Rahim, a former TMC MLA, has been named as a candidate from Baduria.
This move comes as the party prepares to contest the elections solo, covering 293 constituencies. With elections scheduled for April 23 and 29, and vote counting set for May 4, the political scene in West Bengal is heating up.
