The Rajasthan Assembly witnessed significant unrest on Tuesday as debates over the contentious issue of cow slaughter led to the session being adjourned five times. BJP MLA Balmukundacharya brought attention to illegal bovine activities during Question Hour, questioning the government's stance on granting cows 'Gaumata' status.
In response, Minister Joraram Kumawat assured that the state is committed to enforcing strict laws against illegal bovine transportation and slaughter. However, declarations from the opposition, spearheaded by Leader Tika Ram Jully, accused the government of shielding BJP members involved in the slaughter incident in Jaipur.
Amid escalating verbal exchanges, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani and chairperson Sandeep Sharma intervened multiple times to maintain order, ultimately leading to the series of adjournments. Despite attempts to mediate the situation, the issue continued to dominate proceedings, highlighting deep political divisions.
