In a significant political development, Independent MP Pappu Yadav has projected a strong victory for the Mahagathbandhan in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, emphasizing widespread public support for the alliance. Yadav expressed confidence during a press briefing in Patna, citing unity among the state's populace as a cornerstone for the alliance's anticipated success.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) solidified its position within the Mahagathbandhan by releasing a list of 143 candidates, marking an end to weeks of seat-sharing negotiations. However, the alliance faced a setback with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) withdrawing from the electoral race. This development clarifies the alignment within Mahagathbandhan, comprising RJD, Congress, CPI ML, and Mukesh Sahani's VIP.

With JMM's withdrawal formalized by senior leader Sudivya Kumar, the political battlefield is now set between the two main contenders: the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Mahagathbandhan. The NDA coalition includes the BJP, JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM(S), and RLM, while the Mahagathbandhan includes Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, CPM, and VIP. The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results announced on November 14.
