Authorities in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa district have dismantled an illegal animal waste processing unit, seizing a significant cache of animal fat, hides, and bones on Friday.
City Superintendent of Police Abhinav Barange confirmed that Anwar Qureshi, believed to be operating the unit in the Pardeshipura area, has been detained.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bajrang Bahadur reported that 69 barrels of cattle fat and various animal processing materials were recovered, with samples sent for testing to assess any potential public health risk.
