Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 497 projects amounting to Rs 1,055 crore in Gorakhpur, emphasizing the rapid shift possible with clear intent. Addressing locals at the Ekla embankment on the Rapti river, Adityanath dedicated an Eco Park developed from 2.26 lakh metric tonnes of legacy waste, alongside the Nausadh-Malouni four-lane road.

Highlighting infrastructural advancements over nine years, he marked enhancements in connectivity, healthcare, sanitation, education, sports, industry, and flood management. Important mentions included AIIMS Gorakhpur and BRD Medical College as critical healthcare centers and the revival of both the fertilizer plant and a new sugar mill at Pipraich.

Praising the Eco Park project, Adityanath remarked on the transition of 'garbage into gold' at the city’s entrance. Meanwhile, Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan lauded the chief minister’s ability to see ‘diamonds in garbage’. The green urban transformation projects underscore Gorakhpur's evolution as a sustainable, clean, and smart urban model.
