Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting on Wednesday to tackle critical issues, including the upcoming home guard recruitment exam, smart meter provisions, petroleum supply, and state law and order. The meeting was conducted via video conference, where detailed instructions were issued to officials regarding these matters.
The chief minister stressed the importance of integrity in the recruitment examination, scheduled for April 25-27, which is being overseen by the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for the first time. He emphasized the need for smooth arrangements at exam centers, ensuring candidates' comfort with adequate drinking water and medical facilities amidst the warm weather.
Adityanath highlighted the need for vigilance against potential unrest, calling for coordinated efforts between magistrates and police officials. Safety inspections of explosive depots and firecracker factories were ordered, alongside measures to prevent black marketing in border districts. An expert committee on smart meters was also mentioned, promising swift resolution of consumer issues.
