Yogi Adityanath Slams Opposition for Defeating Women's Quota Bill

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on opposition parties over the defeat of the Constitution Amendment Bill aimed at reserving 33% of Lok Sabha seats for women. He accused the Congress and Samajwadi Party of having a historic track record of undermining women's rights.

The bill's failure, celebrated by opposition members, poses a threat to women's safety, dignity, and self-reliance, according to Adityanath. He asserted that the BJP is committed to teaching a lesson to those who obstruct women's rightful claims.

The chief minister stressed the need for increased political representation for women to ensure a self-reliant and developed India. He highlighted ongoing welfare schemes aimed at empowering women, noting the necessity of the women's reservation as a timely reform.
