The Registrar General of India (RGI) has embarked on a mission to ensure a comprehensive and fair Census. District magistrates and municipal commissioners are tasked with identifying villages and communities prone to threats or intimidation, which could hinder data collection efforts. This initiative aims to tackle potential exclusions due to socio-economic and accessibility challenges.

In a directive issued by Registrar General Mrityunjay Narayan Singh, officials are instructed to conduct thorough consultations with local authorities and law enforcement to draft a vulnerability map. These maps will aid in addressing and mitigating any risks associated with the Census, fostering an environment conducive to data collection.

Further, an innovative approach includes launching a pan-India helpline to assist in the Census process, enhancing transparency and participation. Field visits and community engagement are pivotal to ensuring accurate and complete enumeration, while the use of digital tools marks a modern take on one of India's most significant demographic exercises.
