Telangana's Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy are intensifying their efforts to address alleged malpractices associated with the Kaleshwaram irrigation project by engaging directly with the CBI director. This move is considered crucial following the High Court’s recent directive, which prevented any legal action against key figures from the BRS.
Officials, including Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, are contemplating further steps, such as potentially moving the case to the Supreme Court. Despite a comprehensive investigation by the PC Ghose Commission, CBI’s progress remains stalled nine months after initial referrals by state authorities.
Concurrently, the government announced initiatives to enhance state sports infrastructure, including plans to expand Gachibowli Stadium. Upgrades aim to bolster sporting facilities while supporting economic vitality through sanctioned commercial activities.
