Telangana is rapidly positioning itself as a global hub for engineering and innovation, aiming to go beyond being just a manufacturing base, stated D Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT and Industries.
During the inauguration of Baker Hughes' new Lean manufacturing facility at the Azad Centre of Excellence and Innovation in the TGIIC Industrial Park in Siddipet, the Minister highlighted the state's focus on developing industrial parks for precision engineering to promote the 'Made in Telangana' brand globally.
The facility, which spans 7,600 square meters, is set to generate employment for over 230 skilled personnel and manufacture high-precision components for Baker Hughes' Industrial and Energy Technology division. The state's industrial ecosystem, wherein more than 1,500 MSMEs operate, continues to expand as Telangana emerges as a hub for high-precision manufacturing.
The strategic location choice by global companies like Baker Hughes for their 'Make in India' initiatives underscores Telangana's rising stature in the industrial sector, said Sridhar Babu. Companies like Baker Hughes, operating in over 120 countries, strengthen the state's industrial landscape, and the government remains committed to supporting these industries with incentives.
