Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has called upon Telangana Road Transport Corporation (RTC) employees to refrain from drastic actions, including suicide attempts, amidst their ongoing strike. The plea follows an alleged self-immolation attempt by a driver, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
In an address, Reddy emphasized that 'suicide is not a solution' and assured that the government is earnestly working to meet the employees' demands. A meeting with employee unions has been scheduled, showing the state's proactive approach in resolving the dispute.
With the RTC strike entering its second day, the government has discussed and prioritized the issue. Ministers are appealing for patience, underscoring the support offered by the current administration, which has already enacted several employee-friendly measures since its recent inception.
