Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Vinay Kumar strongly criticized the BJP on Wednesday, countering claims that his party is 'anti-women.' Kumar accused the BJP of spreading misleading information to the public.

At a press conference, Kumar affirmed Congress's support for the Women's Reservation Bill but expressed concerns over its timing, stating it should be held off until the nationwide census is complete. He refuted suggestions by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the Opposition delayed the bill, emphasizing Congress's consistent support for women's reservation.

Kumar accused the government of politicizing the bill for electoral benefits. He also announced that Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi would attend a Congress convention in Kangra on April 30.
