Union Home Minister Amit Shah confidently stated that the Congress party would not secure a single victory in the West Bengal assembly elections. Speaking at an election rally in Dum Dum, Shah emphasized that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's alignment with Congress would further deteriorate her political standing.
Shah further predicted Congress would face defeats in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Assam, emphasizing to Rahul Gandhi that in West Bengal, Congress might struggle to even open its account. He labeled the Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge, as having diminished political discourse due to his proximity to Gandhi.
The BJP leader called on voters to support the party not just to form a government but to transform Bengal into an infiltrator-free state, criticizing Banerjee's government over law and order and industrial decline. Shah also highlighted safety concerns for women, promising significant changes if the BJP comes to power.
