Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proclaimed a significant political shift in West Bengal after initial polling heavily favored the BJP. Speaking in North 24 Parganas, he accused the ruling TMC of undermining democratic values but affirmed that voters have initiated their restoration.
Modi claimed the TMC, panicked by early polling outcomes, resorted to deploying 'goons' overnight. He accused the TMC of creating a 'maha jungle raj', which voters dismantled by voting overwhelmingly against it. Modi insisted that TMC supporters would find no refuge following expected BJP victories in upcoming phases.
Highlighting BJP's focus on women's representation, Modi critiqued TMC's stance on women's issues, labeling it an 'anti-women party.' He detailed BJP’s candidates who have been victims of injustice, showcasing the party’s commitment to elevating voices that have been historically suppressed by TMC policies.
