Sri Lankan authorities have arrested 50 foreign nationals, including an Indian citizen, for overstaying their visas, as reported by srilankamirror.com.
The detentions occurred in Negombo, a key tourist hub near Colombo, during a crackdown by the Investigation Division of the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
According to officials, these individuals, comprising 47 Chinese nationals, two Malaysians, and one Indian, had initially entered the country on business visas but remained illegally after their visas expired.
