A massive fire broke out at Anant Raj Estate, a luxury complex in Sector 63A, late Wednesday afternoon. The incident, reported at 4:13 pm in Ankit Sethi's first-floor flat, required the intervention of five fire tenders and three hours of intense effort to extinguish.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. Ankit Sethi managed to escape with his family despite the flames rapidly consuming the flat. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, which began in Block E of the upscale society.
Despite the complete destruction of the flat's furniture and other valuables, firefighters successfully prevented the blaze from spreading to adjacent apartments. However, questions have been raised about the malfunctioning of the society's fire extinguishers.
