Authorities in Goa have escalated efforts to locate right-wing activist Gautam Khattar, currently untraceable after an FIR was lodged against him for making controversial statements about St Francis Xavier, the patron saint of the state.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant confirmed that police are actively searching for Khattar, intending to apprehend him within two days. Previously, a police team visited his Dehradun residence, but he was not found. A Look Out Circular has been issued to prevent any attempts by Khattar to flee the country.

The row ignited after a video surfaced showing Khattar making derogatory remarks, sparking allegations of religious discord. Numerous complaints have been filed across Goa, and the case is now with the state police's Crime Branch.
