The Delhi government's Drugs Control Department has dismantled an illegal medicine sale operation in Shahdara, seizing 104 varieties of drugs and 23 expired items, officials confirmed.
The operation unfolded on April 20 in Rashid Market, Khureji, following intelligence on unauthorized medicine sales. A decoy operation verified illegal dealings at the premises, which lacked a valid license since its cancellation in September 2024.
Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh emphasized the government's commitment to public health, warning violators of stringent consequences. Ongoing investigations aim to trace the source of the seized drugs and uphold regulatory standards.
