Protests in Bhimtal: Demand for Arrest in Alleged Exploitation Case
Traders and locals protested outside Bhimtal Police Station demanding the arrest of a man accused of exploiting several girls by concealing his identity. BJP workers led the demonstrations. Police are investigating and BJP Nainital Secretary Gautam Matyani filed a complaint. Allegations also include financial exploitation and illegal land use.

Protesters, comprising traders and locals, gathered outside Bhimtal Police Station, demanding the arrest of an individual accused of exploiting several girls. The protests were led by BJP workers, who cautioned that the agitation would intensify if the suspect is not apprehended by Wednesday.
Nainital SP Jagdish Chandra stated that a case will be filed following a formal complaint from the victims, while Circle Officer Anjana Negi assured a swift arrest. Police teams are actively working to locate and apprehend the accused.
A complaint, submitted by Nainital BJP Secretary Gautam Matyani, alleges that the man manipulated the girls into spending about Rs 17 lakh on expensive items. Authorities are also investigating claims of illegal construction on government land by the accused.
