A year has passed since the shocking attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 lives were brutally claimed, leaving families grappling with ongoing trauma. Among them is Asavari Jagdale, who received a distressing digital memory of their trip from Pune to Pahalgam, unearthing painful flashbacks.
Despite receiving a job with Pune Municipal Corporation, Asavari and her mother struggle to heal, haunted by the vivid memory of the attack, which they say replays before them. She emphasizes the difficulty faced in securing employment as compensation for their loss, highlighting the need for government intervention for other affected families.
On the anniversary of the attack, Asavari's family and others chose to honor their lost loved ones through charity, rather than formal commemorations. Asavari pledges a part of her salary in remembrance, while the desire for justice continues to resonate as relentlessly as the echoes of that fatal day.
