In a display of civic duty, top leaders and celebrities were among the first to cast their ballots in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on Thursday. With voting commencing at 7 AM across 234 segments, political figures and film stars alike were seen heading to the polls.
Notable participants included Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, along with Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami. Other influential figures such as MDMK founder Vaiko and Congress leader P Chidambaram also showed up to vote in their respective districts.
The elections, which engaged both the political and artistic communities, saw music composer Ilaiyaraja and actors like Rajinikanth cast their votes. Actor Vijay Sethupathi emphasized the significance of voting as an essential task. The wide involvement reflects the importance of these elections across diverse professional spheres.
