Father's Grim Secret: Unveiling a Tragic Crime in Lucknow

A man from Lucknow, Vijay Kumar Chaube, has been apprehended with an accomplice for allegedly murdering his minor daughter. Arrested by a joint police team, Chaube initially misled authorities with a missing person report.

The investigation, prompted by inconsistencies in Chaube's statements, revealed that the crime was motivated by fear of social stigma linked to the daughter's activities. Chaube confessed to orchestrating the murder with his associate Abdul Mannan after misinforming his daughter of meeting a healer.

The duo used a secluded stretch near the Sharda canal to commit the crime, subsequently disfiguring the victim's face with acid to obscure her identity. Police are currently conducting further investigations.
