An 11-year-old boy suffered severe burns after being allegedly thrown into a burning tandoor during a wedding in Uttar Pradesh, police reported on Friday.
The child, identified as Chaman, was attending the wedding with his grandmother in Basti and is now stable at Lucknow Medical College.
The incident reportedly occurred over the boy repeatedly taking rasgullas from the food counter, prompting an extreme reaction from the catering contractor. A case has been registered, and the hunt for the accused is underway.
