The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission is taking a firm stance against examination malpractices by introducing AI-based surveillance systems, officials announced on Thursday. This initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision for 'cheating-free exams' and involves advanced technological interventions for monitoring recruitment tests.
According to an official statement, the commission will use Artificial Intelligence surveillance as part of a tech-driven examination framework, aimed at eliminating irregularities and ensuring transparency and fairness. The UPESSC is responsible for conducting recruitment exams for teaching and other posts within the state education department.
UPESSC Chairman Prashant Kumar revealed an Integrated Control Room has been established at the commission's headquarters, featuring high-quality screens linked to AI-enabled cameras for real-time monitoring. This setup aims to detect suspicious activities swiftly, eliminate human errors, and maintain the integrity of the selection process. Kumar emphasized that any attempt at using unfair means will face strict legal action, urging aspirants to prepare diligently without being swayed by rumors.
