Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of security as a foundation for good governance, noting that advancements in police reforms, training, and infrastructure have significantly improved the state's law and order situation.
Addressing an audience at the inauguration of a modern security building in the Shri Gorakhnath temple area, Adityanath detailed the need for comprehensive approaches to police recruitment and training. He pointed out that prior to 2017, more than half of police posts were vacant, and training facilities could only accommodate around 3,000 personnel at once. Infrastructure enhancements have doubled this capacity to about 6,000 personnel simultaneously.
The Chief Minister also highlighted improved residential facilities for police personnel, addressing prior shortcomings. The elaborate infrastructure developments, exemplified by the model policing facilities at Gorakhnath, have enabled a more secure environment, aligning with Prime Minister Modi's vision of good governance. The new security building aims to provide comprehensive facilities for various police units and specialized forces.
