Tragic Spade Attack Over Money Claims Woman's Life
A woman in Hata Nagar's Sahbajpur died at AIIMS Gorakhpur after her brother-in-law, Brijmohan alias Dablu, attacked her with a spade over money issues. The victim, Sunita, was critically injured during the assault and passed away during treatment. Police are investigating, and the accused remains at large.

A brutal incident unfolded in Hata Nagar's Sahbajpur when a woman succumbed to injuries at AIIMS Gorakhpur after being attacked by her brother-in-law over financial disputes, the police reported on Friday.
The attack occurred on Wednesday evening when the accused, 32-year-old Brijmohan alias Dablu, demanded money from his sister-in-law, 35-year-old Sunita. Unable to fulfill his demand, Sunita was assaulted with a spade while performing household chores. Neighbors intervened after hearing her cries, rushing her to AIIMS Gorakhpur, where she succumbed to her injuries late Thursday night.
Hata Kotwali Inspector-in-Charge Sanjay Dubey inspected the site on Friday, gathering eyewitness accounts. Initial investigations suggest possible mental health issues with the attacker, who is currently evading arrest. The victim’s husband, Omprakash Singh, working in Gujarat, has been informed, while police await a formal complaint from the family to proceed legally.
