On Friday night, brief earthquake tremors rattled several parts of north India, including Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana. Residents experienced the shaking at precisely 9:46 pm, with the tremors lasting only a few seconds.
In Chandigarh, Baldev Chand, who resides on the second floor of a flat, described the experience, noting a strong jolt that quickly subsided. Similarly, Ajay Kumar, living on the 11th floor of a residential society in Zirakpur, Punjab, debated fleeing to safety as the ground shook beneath him.
These short-lived tremors caused momentary concern, prompting residents to assess evacuation options. Thankfully, the tremors ceased on their own, bringing relief to those affected.
