Daring Escape: Crime Figure Survives Ghaziabad Gunfire

A notorious history-sheeter, identified as Rahul Chaudhary, alias Kalu, survived a harrowing attack in Ghaziabad, suffering four gunshot wounds. The incident unfolded late Thursday night near Modinagar, escalating tensions in this crime-prone area.

Despite severe injuries to his neck, chest, abdomen, and leg, Chaudhary showcased remarkable resilience by driving himself to a private hospital. Authorities indicate that long-standing enmities might have triggered this violent episode.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Modinagar, Bhaskar Verma, stated that efforts are underway to scrutinize CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators. Rahul, embroiled in 18 criminal cases, was previously jailed for extortion but released on bail. The police have registered a case against the assailant.
