Rajasthan Police Dismantles Cyber Fraud Network on Remote Island

In a significant crackdown, the Rajasthan Police has dismantled a cyber fraud network that was orchestrating fake escort services from a secluded island near a dam in the Dungarpur district. Acting on intelligence from the district cyber cell, the authorities apprehended 12 individuals involved in the scam.

The suspects were caught in a remote area while using mobile phones to conduct fraudulent activities. According to Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar, the group fabricated fake escort service advertisements and employed objectionable images sourced from the internet to mislead and defraud victims across the nation.

The investigation revealed that the scammers manipulated their victims by persuading them to choose profiles and make advance payments into various bank accounts. Law enforcement seized multiple mobile devices, SIM cards, a vehicle, and cash during the raid, providing further evidence of the illegal operation.
